1999

• Foundation as Joint-Venture of WITEX AG and Schomburg GmbH & Co. KG 
• Introduction of walking noise and footfall sound reduction layers for use under laminate floorings and parquet (Sound Reduct Layer) 1999

2000

• Foundation of the WPT GmbH as the subsidiary of Witex AG
• Production capacity: 4.5 mio. sqm

2002

• Introduction of Soft Sound, the sound reduction and decoupling mat Expansion of production capacity to 6 mio. sqm.

2003

• Takeover of the majority stakes through Mr. Ulrich Windmöller and renaming the company to Windmöller Polymer Technologie (WPT GmbH)

2004

• Presentation of PURline, the innovative object flooring at the Domotex exhibition in Hanover
• Introduction of PURline nationwide

2005

• Expansion of Distribution channels throughout Central Europe and realisation of first substantial prestigious projects.

2006

• Expansion of production capacity to 7 mio. sqm and large increase of sales activities of product lines SRL and Soft Sound to Far East, Central Asia and Australia

2007 - 2009

• Expansion of capacities and extension in export area
